DISC - How you choose to communicate

Overview:

  • DISC is a Universal Language and has various version but theme is consistent.

  • DISC stands for DOMINANCE, INFLUENCE, STEADINESS, and COMPLIANCE.

  • DISC measures BEHAVIOR, not personality, motivation, intelligence, etc.

 

Over simplified… a person typically will “lean” more to one side of each color - HIGH or LOW.

Normally someone is HIGH in 1 to 3.

 

DRIVING FORCES - WHY YOU ENGAGE (OR RESIST)

 
4-6 Driving Forces typically describe what motivates a person.   Typically at lest 2 DFs are more passionate/intense than others.

  • Driving Forces measure what motivates people.

  • There are 12 Driving Forces based on 6 foundational motivators, Theoretical, Utilitarian, Social, Aesthetic, Individualistic, and Traditional

  • Driving Forces do NOT correlate with DISC styles.
